Heavy Industry Science & Technology Company Held the First Session of Three-D Modeling Competition
The First Session of Three-D Modeling competition was held at Design Department of Heavy Industry Science and Technology Company at 1:30pm on 25 Dec. The competition was put forward by the Directors Wang Xingliang and Wang Yantao, and operated within a limited time.
The competition time is 120 minutes, and the scoring was reasonably evaluated by modeling completion, modeling time, and modeling method, and mainly to inspect the designers’ three-dimensional modeling transformation abilities to complex parts and assembly layout. At the beginning of the competition, all technicians read the drawings carefully, operated skillfully with mouse and keyboard. The competition was tense and orderly, the assistant invigilators Ding Zengbin and Zhao Jinku implemented examination disciplines and ensured the fair play.
Based on the principles of fairness, rigorousness and impartiality, all the Directors evaluated together, Pang Chen won the first, Liu Na and Zhao Shanpeng won the Second together, and Liu Xiaokai, Shan Haiyan and Dong Lei won the Third.
Based on principles of learning and communications , the topic-setting team and evaluation team had sent personnel to illustrate the Three-D competition, the Director Wang Yantao from topic-setting team carefully explained the difficulties and inspection points of the topic, shared the ideas and experiences of three-dimensional modeling, and requested everyone to establish the sense of reading the drawings carefully, then combing with the actual production and quickly conceived in minds the three-D form expressed by two-D drawing, according to the features of three-D shape, and to form the idea of modeling by means of mirroring and splitting.
Through technical competition, we can realize our shortcomings, and create a learning atmosphere, inject momentum into the development of the company. At the same time, a large number of technical backbone and technical pacesetters have emerged in the technical competition. They will drive and cultivate a high-quality, professional and competent technical team and lay the foundation for the company's sustainable innovation and development.
